Check-in/Checkout timesPreferred check-in time is between 2pm and 9pm. Guests are welcome to come earlier or request a late check-out but please make prior arrangements with management. If you are going to arrive later than 9pm we would appreciate a phone call 0800 244144. Please remember it is now illegal to use your cellphone if you are driving in New Zealand. If you check out prior to opening time, please leave the key in the room.
Booking, Cancellation and Variation Policies
All bookings require a valid credit card number and expiry to confirm the reservation and we do not charge until arrival/departure. Please note we may charge 3% on credit card transactions.
Unpaid accounts: The Customer will be liable for the costs incurred by Fairmont Motor Lodge for the collection of any unpaid charges including legal costs between solicitor and client and any debt collection costs, (including any commission payable to any collection agency retained by Fairmont Motor Lodge for such purpose).
If cancelled prior to 24 hours of arrival date no fee is charged.
If cancelled within 24 hours of arrival or no-show a fee of one night’s accommodation may be charged.
For group bookings and/or peak times the cancellation/variation period is extended to 30 days prior to arrival.
Any variation to a reservation is made at our discretion and at peak/seasonal times may result in the reservation being cancelled.
Lost keys: $25 per key
Carpet cleaning $70 per room. Flood damage $500 minimum charge
Damage to rooms: cost of repair or replacement and loss of income during repair/replacement period
Breakages: cost of repair or replacement and loss of income during repair/replacement period
Missing chattels: cost of replacement and loss of income until replaced
Property returns: if you leave any of your possessions behind you will be requested to provide a prepaid, self-addressed envelope/courier bag
